LONG: Shauna McGarry is an award winning television writer, producer and solo performer in Los Angeles.

As a television writer and producer, Shauna most recently executive produced “The 2nd Best Hospital in the Galaxy” for Amazon Studios. Other favorite animation credits include “Craig of the Creek”, “Tuca & Bertie”, and “BoJack Horseman.” Shauna won the Annie Award for Writing for “Tuca & Bertie” for her episode “The Jelly Lakes”, noted as one of the best episodes of the year in Entertainment Weekly and the New York Times. Shauna’s also written/produced the LIVE-ACTION shows "Katy Keene", “Brockmire”, “Take My Wife”, “Bajillion Dollar Properties”, “Anger Management” and “24”, and others.

Shauna’s first feature, “The Joke’s Over, You Can Come Back Now” (Wayfarer studios) is in pre-production to shoot next year. As a storyteller slash stage performer, Shauna has performed at the Moth Mainstage, Risk, UCB, etc. Her solo show “LA Homebody” was optioned by FX and developed for TV. She’s currently performing her new solo show, “Put Together”, at the Elysian Theater in Silver Lake.

As a community leader, since 2005, Shauna has taught at the Echo Park Film Center, a grassroots community microcinema and media school, and currently serves as its president. She also serves as the communications director for the eagle rock neighbohood council, and is a wga-west captain.

But you probably know her best from crying at that Chipotle on Beverly that one time after an especially bad job interview.

Shauna lives in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, with her husband and son.
